Key-Pak Advantages

Key-Pak is the result of extensive research and testing and is currently available across the globe. Based on a wide range of input, this patented product is designed to enhance numerous products in multiple ways. Its advantages are many:

Highest CR Rating
Key-Pak achieved F=1, the highest child-resistance rating. This optimum safety rating makes the convenient unit-dose package ideal for use in homes with children.

The easy-to-use design was accessed by 100% of seniors, improving compliance and increasing appeal to the vast senior market.

Across all demographics, Key-Pak packaging is simple to understand and incredibly easy to use. The unmatched convenience allows Key-Pak to enhance products in numerous categories and multiple markets.

Key-Pak is not only efficient—it’s economical, delivering a lower total-delivered-cost than other carded blister designs currently on the market.

Damage-Free Dispensing
The Key-Pak card protects products from damage. The unique design enables clean and easy removal of rear blister card panels for damage-free dispensing of even fragile capsules, soft-gels and over-encapsulated products. Packages are scalable in size and cavity count to accommodate a wide range of products.

The Key-Pak card employs a patented “zipper” design that utilizes a tear-resistant laminated structure. The design easily adapts to single- or multi-dose regimens. The card design features a unique die-cut that controls where the tear occurs.

The “one-component” design of Key-Pak reduces specification, inspection, assembly, graphics, engineering design, and tooling requirements.

Key-Pak uses a polymer-coated SBS paperboard that is compatible with Aclar, PVC, PVdC-coated, PVC PET and Polystyrene. The simple design and ten point (.010) heat seal board requirements mean shorter sealing time and increased production line speed, fewer production defects, minimal exposure to heat, and tear-resistant laminated structure.

In addition to safety and adherence, thinking “green” is essential to maintaining a strong corporate image in today’s market. Key-Pak addresses several environmental issues:

  • The package design uses minimal amounts of paperboard compared to competing solutions
  • Key-Pak meets SFI Standards for Land Management and Wood Procurement (PEFC Endorsed)
  • In the US, Key-Pak is California Proposition 65-Compliant
  • Key-Pak uses elemental chlorine-free (ECF) bleached fiber
